The terms of office of Mr. Ken Crooks and Dr. Kenneth Goldman on the

Medical Center Hospital Authority will expire on December 31, 2002. Both are

eligible to succeed themselves.



The Council nominates three individuals for each vacancy and the Authority

itself, will then select its members from the list of six nominees.



All nine members currently serving on this board reside in Senatorial

District 16. There is currently one woman serving on this board.



Enclosed is a copy of our data sheet, as well as a list of the current

members.

Charge/Mission

This board is responsible for The Medical Center. It has nine (9) members

which must be residents and qualified voters of Columbus. For each vacancy,

the Columbus Council submits a list of three eligible persons to the

Authority. From this list, the Authority itself selects one of the individuals

to fill the vacancy. (O.C.G.A. Sec. 31-7-72)
