A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION DECLARING PROPERTY ON WARM SPRINGS ROAD KNOWN AS "PARCEL C" THAT

THE RAILROAD ABANDONED TO THE CITY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZE TO SELL SAID

PROPERTY.

WHEREAS, the property came into possession of the City through abandonment by

the railroad; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus,

Georgia to sell the property as surplus; and,

WHEREAS, the property consists of a narrow tract of land with approximately

267+/- feet of road frontage and approximately 100 feet of depth having 0.55

acres of land. A Quit Claim Deed will transfer the property.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to declare said property on Warm

Springs Road known as "Parcel C", 0.55 acres, that the railroad abandoned to

the City as surplus and sell said property for the of value $7,500.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held
