A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, Mr. J. Edward Sprouse, Partner with the Columbus law firm of Page,

Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker, and Ford, has recently been profiled in Georgia

Trend magazine as one of Georgia's 2004 Legal Elite;



WHEREAS, Mr. Sprouse attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, receive a

Bachelor of Science Degree in 1965 and he received his Juris Doctorate from the

University of Georgia School of Law (Cum Laude) in 1971;



WHEREAS, he is counsel to the Development Authority of Columbus, Georgia, the

Downtown Development Authority and the Columbus Building Authority, as well as

the Valley Partnership and the Development Authority of Talbot County;



WHEREAS, he serves on the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church, and serves on the

Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Columbus (President-Elect), the

Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Museum, Inc., the Metropolitan Boys

Club of Columbus and Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation, Inc.;



WHEREAS, he is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Historic Columbus

Foundation, Inc., the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation and the

Columbus Technical College Foundation, and is Past Chairman of Uptown Columbus,

Inc., St. Francis Hospital, Inc. and the Greater Columbus, Georgia Chamber of

Commerce.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. J. Edward Sprouse, Partner with the

Columbus law firm of Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker, and Ford, upon his recent

recognition by Georgia Trend magazine as one of Georgia's 2004 Legal Elite.

Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. J. Edward Sprouse.
