TO THE CITY ATTORNEY:
WATER WORKS:
Have the staff to draft a resolution to be sent to the Water Works
requiring them to hold a public hearing before the Council each year of their
proposed five year period, that this same timetable, same projects and the same
budget are still on line to warrant rate increases. (Request of Councilor
McDaniel)
Have the staff to give an opinion as to whether or not the Water Works
should be following the City?s procurement process and also explain what is the
State law?s requirement in this regard. (Request Suber)

HOPE VI PROJECT:
Have the staff of the Housing Authority to provide the City Attorney with
that part of the HUD regulations where it does not require the developer to go
out for bids, and then have the City Attorney to explain that to the Council.

Have the staff to ask Mr. Billy Turner of the Water Works, to come before
this Council and explain their procurement process. (Request of Councilor

HOPE VI PROJECT:
Have the Housing Authority to provide something in writing as it relates
to the relocation program. Also, have them to provide the number of those
families they anticipate taking advantage of the Section 8 Voucher Program.

Have the Housing Authority to get with the developer and look at the
contingency and find out if anything can be done in that regard. (Request of
Councilor Davis)

SIRENS:
Have the staff to find out if the siren at Johnson School will remain in
