SIGNALIZATION OF BLACKMON ROAD @ WARM SPRINGS ROAD:



Have the staff to provide information as to the timeline of the

signalization at the intersection of Blackmon Road @ Warm Springs Road, as well

as explain the widening plans of those two streets. (Request of Councilor

Allen)

ZONING PETITIONS:



In the future have the staff to include the summary page from the staff

reports on the proposed zoning petitions in the computer. (Request of Councilor

Hunter)

SIGNATURE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY REZONING:



Have the staff to make sure that this proposed project will be adequately

buffered from adjoining residents. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Rodgers)

TEMPORARY STREET CLOSING APPLICATION:



Have the staff to look at making a part of the application process on

temporary street closing applications, that whomever submits the application

would have to notify all those individuals who will be affected by this street

closing, and have them to indicate to this Council, whether or not there is any

opposition, to the street closing. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

EXERCISE EQUIPMENT:



Have the staff to re-visit the decision that was made not to charge for

the use of exercise equipment at the Super Centers. Also, look at doing a

survey at the Centers and determine what the citizens would be willing to pay

for using this equipment. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

CELLULAR TELEPHONE SERVICE:



If and when the City should go to another company on the cellular

telephone service, advise whether or not those City employees that have their

personal service with the current service provider, will be given the same

existing rate until their contract expires because the City left, or will they

have to renegotiate a new contract. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

WATER FOUNTANS AT RIGDON PARK:



Have the staff to find out what happened to the water fountains at Rigdon

Park. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

TRAFFIC SIGNAL @ 18TH STREET & 2nd AVENUE:



Have the staff to do everything that they possibly can to work out the

situation with the bottleneck that was created with the proximity of the two

traffic signals at 18th Street and 2ND Avenue. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

FLASHING LIGHT @ 17TH AVENUE:



Have the staff to check the location of 17th Avenue where a traffic

accident was, to determine whether or not that tree is blocking the visibility

of the motorist and determine whether or not we need to remove that tree or

move the stop sign over some. (Request of Mayor Peters) Also, have the staff to

determine whether the flashing light that was installed a few years ago was for

the school zone. (Request of Councilor McDaniel)
