METRA Rolling With Thunder
Columbus, Georgia - MARCH 21, 2002 ?When the ?Thunder in the Valley Air Show?
lands in Columbus, METRA Transit System will once again be there for all the
fun and excitement. As in years past, aviation fans attending the spectacular
event can relax, watch planes do the flying and let METRA do the driving.
The ?METRA Shuttle? will be on site to reduce traffic congestion, plus provide
a safe and smooth ride for the ten of thousands of spectators? and the shuttle
service is absolutely free! Several buses will be used to transport Thunder
fans between the Columbus Metropolitan Airport and Columbus State University.
It?s as easy as flying a kite... all you have to do is park and ride!
METRA Shuttle start times:
? Saturday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at CSU
? Sunday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at CSU
? CSU Lots 1, 5, 7 will be used
? The METRA shuttle ends approximately 30 minutes after the show
METRA is the Columbus Transit Agency, managing transportation services, parking
enforcement, and the parking garage for the citizens of Columbus and Fort
Benning. METRA operates several fixed routes, in addition to paratransit
services for persons with disabilities. METRA?s 38 revenue vehicles travel more
than 1.4 million miles annually with nearly 900,000 riders.
