A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, the Columbus Northern Little League 10 Year-Old All-Stars recently won

the District 8 Championship and the 2004 Georgia State Championship;



WHEREAS, the Northern All-Stars first won the District 8 Championship with a

record of 4-0 and defeated Eastern 29-0, Sally 13-1, and American twice by

scores of 2-1 and 6-3;



WHEREAS, Northern then won the Georgia State Championship held in Monroe

Georgia with a record of 6-0 and defeated Peachtree City 10-4, Belvedere 13-0,

Warner Robins 2-1, Franklin County 8-0, East Marietta 10-1 and Warner Robins

6-3;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the following Columbus Northern Little

League 10 Year-Old All-Stars upon their victories in the District 8

Championship and the 2004 Georgia State Championship: Manager John Phillips and

Coaches Richard Carter and Greg Lang, Team Mom Lynne Phillips, and Players

Brady Carbone, Kyle Carter, Payne Kosobucki, Ryan Lang, Josh Lester, Keller

Long, Mason Myers, J.T. Phillips, Mathew Scow, Patrick Stallings, and Cody

Watson. Columbus is truly proud of this team's hard work and dedication and we

wish them every success in the future.
