(1) 2nd Reading ? Amending text of the zoning ordinance to change the
Off-Street Parking requirements for shopping centers and developments.
(39-A-04-Planning Division) (Mayor Pro-Tem Rodgers) (Both the Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Division recommend approval.)
(2) 2nd Reading ? Rezoning properties along the south side of Cusseta Road,
between Alpine Drive and CSU property to the south from a C-2 District to R-2
and R-4 Districts. (40-A-04-Planning Division) (Mayor Pro-Tem Rodgers)(Both the
Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend approval.)
(3) STREET ACCEPTANCE - EXTENSION OF GARRETT LAKE DRIVE LOCATED IN LAKES PHASE
FOUR, GARRETT CREEK:
Authorization is requested to accept a deed to the extension of Garrett Lake
Drive located in Lakes Phase Four, Garrett Creek. The Department of Engineering
has inspected this street and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map
and resolution are attached.

CALL FOR - ZONING PETITIONS:
(4) Two New Zoning Petitions:
(a) Petition submitted by Developers-Investors, Inc., to rezone approximately
12.49 acres of property located at the south side of Veterans Parkway, between
Lullwater Apartments and Turnberry Lane from an A-O district with conditions to
an A-O district with amended conditions (delete conditions #5 and #6 of
Ordinance 03-90). (Recommended for approval by both the Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Division.) (48-A-04-Developers-Investors, Inc.)
(b) Petition submitted by Johnny Daffin requesting an amendment to the text of
the zoning ordinance to allow services operations such as meat storage, cutting
and distribution, milk bottling and distribution, ice cream manufacture,
printing, bookbindery, lithography and publishing as a Special Exception Use in
the C-3 zoning district. (Recommended for approval by the Planning Advisory

1. Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing in Columbus, GA ? RFP No.
05-0001
Scope of RFP
Columbus Consolidated Government is soliciting proposals for consulting
services for the analysis of impediments to fair housing. As part of the
Consolidated Plan in the Budget Year 2007, the Community Reinvestment Division
will have to provide a summary of the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing
in Columbus, Georgia. Upon the compilation of all data, the successful firm
will analyze the data and report findings to the Community Reinvestment
Division. These impediments are not just dealing with programs funded through
federal funds, but impediments to all housing activities within the City.

1. River Road at Mobley Drive/Mountain Brook Drive Intersection
Improvements

Scope of Bid
The work shall consist of intersection improvements and traffic signal
installation at River Road ? Mobley Road/Mountain Brook Drive intersection in
accordance with the designated plans and specifications. The contractor shall
be required to maintain public access to all private properties located within
the project area. The work includes soil erosion control, grading, concrete
patching/leveling, concrete curbs and gutter, storm drainpipes, labor and
materials for signalization and signage of the intersection.

Scope of Bid
Provide Stone to Columbus Consolidated Government, Public Services Department
to be purchased on an ?as needed basis?. The term of this contract shall be

The City of Columbus invites qualified tax search firms to submit proposals for
the provision of title searches relating to real and personal property taxes.
The term of this contract shall be for a period of two (2) years, with an
option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. Contract

1. General Construction Services for Animal Shelter and PAWS Offices ? RFP No.
05-0004
Scope of RFP
General Construction Services for joint development of a project by the
Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) and PAWS Columbus, Inc. entitled,
Animal Shelter and PAWS Offices. The services will be performed by a qualified
general contractor, hereafter called the Construction Manager. The services
will consist of pre-construction services and post bid pre-construction
services, including such items as cost estimating and analyses,
constructability analysis, scheduling and phasing, methods and materials input,
Value Engineering (VE) input and costing, etc, as necessary, as well as
construction of the project. Construction scope generally consists of
earthwork, utility installation, asphalt paving and concrete hardscape,
fencing, landscaping, concrete foundations, structural steel frame, masonry
veneer, miscellaneous metals, rough carpentry, waterproofing, metal roof,
gypsum partitions, acoustical ceilings, floor and wall finishes, fire
protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Site is approximately 11.8 acres,
and building is approximately 37,000 SF.
