March 21, 2002 ? To provide a more permanent location for day laborers in
Columbus, they will have a new location effective Monday, March 25, 2002. The
current location is 18th Street and 2nd Avenue. The new location will be 11th
Avenue and Cusseta Road (across from the City Garage). The relocation is also
needed so that when the 2nd Avenue location is selected for new development it
will not impact the workers. Persons or businesses needing day laborers should
pick them up at the new location starting Monday.
