AN ORDINANCE

An ordinance amending the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for Columbus,

Georgia so as to allow certain temporary signs on public right-of-way in an

enterprise zone or redevelopment area upon approval of the City Manager for a

period not to exceed twelve months; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION 1.



Section 4.4.6 (E)(1) of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby

amended by adding the following new subsection (C):



?(C) Notwithstanding any other provision of this code section, the City

Manager may approve banners for placement on public right-of-way recognizing an

enterprise zone or redevelopment area on file with the Planning Division for a

period not to exceed twelve months.?



SECTION 2.



All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are

hereby repealed.
