October 26, 2004 SPOOKTACULAR 2004
Dear Uptown Merchants,
In the spirit of the ghosts, witches and all the other critters that appear on
Halloween, the Columbus BID would like to ask you to support Spooktacular 2004.
All activities will occur from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2004.
This year, in addition to the children participating in trick or treat along
Broadway, the BID will offer a special Kids Fair in the parking across from the
RiverCenter known as Dillingham Place, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
We ask all 1000 block merchants to participate by having someone give out candy
in front of your establishment from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The event will attract families from across Columbus to the Uptown area. Our
promotion of the event through flyers, television and radio continues to
generate excitement for the Uptown area as a safe and fun place for Halloween
activities and other events that we sponsor. Hopefully, some of these families
will return at a later date to shop in your store during the day.
The Columbus BID?s goal this year and in the future of attracting families to
the Uptown area for the holidays and year around can only happen with your
support. Thanks to you, October 30th will allow adults and children to enjoy
the Spooktacular festivities. Your friendly Ambassadors and The Columbus State
University volunteers will be on hand to help with the flow of the children.
Sincerely,
April M. Ducote
BID Marketing Director
