A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, Carver High School's JROTC Drill Teams recently won several awards at

the Georgia JROTC Drill Competition;



WHEREAS, the competition was held on March 20, 2004 at Henderson Stadium in

Macon, Georgia;



WHEREAS, the Drill Teams won the State Championship for Female exhibition Squad

Drill Team, the State Championship Male Exhibition Squad Drill Team and the

Commander's Cup for the fourth consecutive year (to the squad with the highest

combined score for standard and exhibition drill);



WHEREAS, Carver was one of the top three teams from seven areas throughout

Georgia who are eligible for the State's Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps

competition;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Carver JROTC Drill Team members are worthy

of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate the following Carver High School JROTC Drill Team

members and their instructors upon their 2004 State Championships: Jennifer

Allen, Kekera Arnold, Shanta Braxton, Patricia Brown, Jasmine Brown, Natosha

Gordon, Latrice Hall, Tasha Henley, Roschelle Hollis, Simone Hutchinson,

Jacqueline Jones, Tenisha Maynard, Kimberly Meadows, Carolyn Oliver, Tinola

Payne, Carla Ramos, Nikki Rembert, Ricanda Riley, Mahasolin Robinson, Kita

Scott, Alicia Thornton, Keyona Yeldell, Derek Allen, Tramaine Ashford, Marcell

Brown, James Butler, Rodney Cobbs, James Donaldson, Raheem Gardner, Jeff

Guzman, Anthony Johnson, Jarvis Meadows, Joseph Moore, Angel Morales, Marcus

Ransom, Tony Rush, Tim Thompson, Henry Tuaoi and Shaun Williams, Instructors

Major (Ret) Allen Brinkman, Cmd Sgt Major (Ret) Hardy Chadwick and Sgt Major

(Ret) Walter West. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the

above-named participants.
