(1) 1st Reading ? Rezoning property located at 7176 Village Loop and 7333 and
the western portion of 7301 Whitesville Road is proposed for rezoning from SFR1
(Single Family Residential 1) and SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) Districts
to SFR3 (Single Family Residential 3) District. (41-A-05-Brian Grier Inc.)
(Councilor McDaniel) (The Planning Advisory Commission recommends denial and
the Planning Division recommends approval.)
(2) 1st Reading ? Rezoning property located at 5671 and 5689 Billings Road is
proposed for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) District to SFR3
(Single Family Residential 3) District. (42-A-05-Wade) (Councilor McDaniel)
(The Planning Advisory Commission recommends denial and the Planning Division
recommends approval.)
(3) 1st Reading ? Rezoning property located at 4923 Warm Springs Road is
proposed for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) District to GC

(4) 1st Reading ? Rezoning property located at 5251 St. Mary?s Road is proposed
for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) District to SFR3 (Single

(5) 1st Reading - An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in
Columbus, Georgia by establishing/amending the parking restrictions along the
following street segments: Blackmon Road: Establishing a No Parking Anytime
on the shoulder or on the right of way, beginning at the south curb of Sonoma
Pointe Drive and running south along the east side of Blackmon Road a distance
of 150 feet; establishing a No Parking Anytime on school days on the shoulder
or on the right of way, beginning at the south curb of Sonoma Pointe Drive and
running north along the east side of Blackmon Road a distance of 930 feet;
authorizing the installation of official traffic control signs indicating said
parking restrictions; repealing any conflicting ordinances and for other

(6) 2nd Reading ? Rezoning property located at the 3910, 3920 and 4002 Armour
Avenue is proposed for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2)
District to RMF2 (Residential Multi-Family 2) (40-A-05-Waldo Enterprises, LLC.)

Division recommend approval.)
(7) 2nd Reading ? Rezoning property located at 4219 Warm Springs Road is
proposed for rezoning from GC (General Commercial) District to RO (Residential

R E S O L U T I O N S:
(8) Opposing HR 58 in the Georgia General Assembly which would eliminate ad
valorem taxation for education and would substitute a three percent state sales
and use tax in its place. (Councilor Allen)
(9) Expressing appreciation of the Council for meritorious service
rendered Columbus by Captain John Starkey serving on the Employees Pension Plan
Board of Trustees. (Mayor Poydasheff)
