A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 358-03 authorized acceptance of Turnberry Lane

including the acceleration and deceleration lanes on the eastern right-of-way

of Veterans Parkway;



WHEREAS, the Georgia Department of Transportation has requested ownership of

said acceleration and deceleration lanes since this is a state highway.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



The Mayor of Columbus, Georgia is hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim deed

to the Georgia Department of Transportation for the acceleration and

deceleration lanes on the eastern right-of-way of Veterans Parkway as shown on

the attached plats dated March 21, 2003 and September 8, 2003.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

30th day of September, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of ______ members of said Council.
