A RESOLUTION



NO.





WHEREAS, Mr. William T. Heard, Jr. of Bill Heard Chevrolet Cadillac was named a

General Motors "Dealer of the Year" on Thursday, June 17, 2005, at a ceremony

in New York City;



WHEREAS, he was presented the 2003 Jack Smith Leadership Award, which is named

after the retired GM Chairman and CEO;



WHEREAS, Mr. Heard also received the Steuben crystal obelisk, which symbolizes

the highest GM dealer achievement, at the ceremony;



WHEREAS, Mr. Heard supervises Bill Heard Enterprises, the leading Chevrolet

retailer in the United States, including 16 Chevrolet and two Oldsmobile

dealerships and one Cadillac operation;



WHEREAS, he was awarded GM's highest honor because he has distinguished himself

as the best of the best in the dealership network and his accomplishments are

worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. William T. Heard, Jr. of Bill Heard

Chevrolet Cadillac upon being named a General Motors "Dealer of the Year." Let

a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. William T. Heard, Jr.
