A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF THE AMENDED AND RESTATED ARTICLES OF

ORGANIZATION FOR THE VALLEY PARTNERSHIP-JOINT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO INCLUDE

THE ADMISSION OF THE CITY OF MANCHESTER, GEORGIA TO THE VALLEY PARTNERSHIP.

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus has participated in the creation of and

continues to participate in the Valley Partnership-Joint Development Authority;

and,

WHEREAS, under provisions of O.C.G.A. 36-62-5.1, the Joint Development

Authority may be amended by the appropriate resolutions of the participating

governing bodies; and,

WHEREAS, the approval of this resolution amending the Articles of the

Organization is necessary to provide for the addition of the City of Manchester

to the above mentioned Authority.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to approve the Amended and Restated

Articles of Organization to provide for the addition of the City of Manchester

to the Valley Partnership-Joint Development Authority.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the 27thday of November, 2001 and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of members of said Council.
