TO THE CITY ATTORNEY:
MERITORIOUS RESOLUTIONS:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution for Aquavious Samuels of Jordan
High School for winning the long jump event in the Georgia State Track & Field
event. (Request of Councilor Henderson)
Have the staff to check with the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer newspaper to try
to get the names of the two young men and one young woman who was voted as Nike
All Americans in the sport of Track & Field and prepare a resolution commending
them, and bring them in at the same time we have the resolution for Aquavious
Samuels. (Request of Councilor Davis)

TRACK & FIELD SPORT:
Have the staff to prepare a letter for his and the City Manager?s
signature to be sent to the Superintendent of Schools, forwarding the concerns
of the Council encouraging them to enhance the recognition of the sport of
Track & Field within the Muscogee County School System. (Request of Mayor
Poydasheff)
