A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Columbus High Blue Devils baseball team recently finished second

in the Class AAAA Georgia State Championship held in Atlanta;



WHEREAS, Columbus lost the third game of the hard-fought championship series

4-1;



WHEREAS, the Blue Devils finished the season with a record of 31-8 and have

previously won seven Georgia state baseball championships;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate the Columbus High School Blue Devils baseball

players Burt Barto, Cody Belt, Ric Bishop, Tyler Causey, Bradley Clark, Adam

Coe, Sam Coley, Jeff Dickens, Adam Fuller, Michael Govar, Doug Hardman, Brandon

Harris, Clark Humber, Patrick Jenkins, Ty Kelley, Marshall LeBleu, Zack Martin,

Jon McDonald, Patrick McGregor, Wes Mobley, Jonathan Moore, Kellen Murphy, Josh

Myers, Shaun O'Hara, Carl Rhodes, Bo Roberts, Brad Rulon, Iain Sebastian,

Michael Sims, Trevor Williams and Andy Wilson, Head Coach Bobby Howard and

Assistant Coaches Davis Smart and Russell Henderson upon their outstanding 2003

season. Columbus is justly proud of this team?s hard work and dedication and

we wish them every success in the future.
