WHEREAS, The Reverend Joe Roberson, pastor of South Columbus United Methodist

Church, has worked tirelessly for the betterment of South Columbus during the

nine years of his ministry there;



WHEREAS, Reverend Roberson has shown friendship, concern and compassion to the

needy and has linked his energies with those of other citizens in projects and

programs to revitalize that part of our city economically, socially and

spiritually;



WHEREAS, Concerned Citizens of South Columbus has given Reverend Roberson its

Dan Reed Service Above Self Award in recognition of his diligent efforts for

the improvement of South Columbus;



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



THAT, We commend and thank the Reverend Joe Roberson for all he has done for

South Columbus and congratulate him on his selection for the Dan Reed Service

Above Self Award.
