MINUTES # 22-05



The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at

2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Richard Stallings, Ann

Grantham, William Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was Chief

Appraiser Martin J. Land.



Assessor Pat Hunter made a motion to approve Minutes # 21-05, Assessor Ann

Grantham seconded the motion, motion carried unanimously.



The Board approved an assessment correction



The following VA letter of application for VA exemption was reviewed and

approved for 2005:



Burnam - 114 008 014



The Board reviewed an application for Conservation Use Assessment of

Agricultural Property for parcel ID 191 006 045H and 045P; however, denied the

application since they determined that the primary use of the property is not

good faith production from or on the land of agricultural products. The Board

also reviewed the application for Preferential Agricultural Assessment for

parcel ID 102 001 069H; however, denied the application since they determined

the primary use of the property is not good faith commercial production of

agricultural products.



Met with Commercial Division Chief Linda King, reviewed and approved the

2005 Map Split: 1

Permits: 11

Revaluation: 1



Met with Personal Property Division Chief Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved

the following:
