RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION

FOR SERVICE OF FRANK S. ETHERIDGE, III





WHEREAS, Frank S. Etheridge, III has served as a member of the Development

Authority since February 21, 1989, and has served as Vice-Chairman of the

Development Authority since July 10, 1996;



WHEREAS, in addition to his service and leadership on the Development

Authority, Frank Etheridge has served as Chairman of the Columbus Economic

Development Corporation, a non-profit corporation formed to support the

Development Authority, since its incorporation on January 14, 1991;



WHEREAS, Frank Etheridge has been a leader and active participant in economic

development activities in our community and region and has provided invaluable

support and direction to the Development Authority, which, in turn, has

furthered the Development Authority's mission of developing and promoting

trade, commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good;



WHEREAS, the Columbus region is more economically vibrant place in

which to live and work because of the good work of Frank S. Etheridge, III.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Frank S.

Etheridge, III for his splendid and unselfish service to the Development

Authority and to the Columbus community. Let a copy of this Resolution be

provided to Mr. Frank S. Etheridge, III and made a part of the official minutes

of this meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia.

the 30th day of April, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
