SUBJECT: All Hazards Emergency Planning Agreement

Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept a $49,603 grant from the
Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Background: Funds have been allocated to the Federal Emergency Management
Agency to develop and implement a local emergency operation plan. This plan
will enhance our ability to respond to and recover from terrorist acts or other
emergencies and disasters.
Analysis: These funds will enable our Government to contract with the Georgia
Tech Applied Research Corporation and the Georgia Tech Research Institute for
their assistance in the preparation and completion of this local emergency
operation plan.
Financial Considerations: The grant is for $49,603 and does not require a local
match.
Legal Considerations: The Columbus Consolidated Government is eligible to
receive these funds.
Recommendation/Action: Approval is requested to accept a $49,603 grant from
the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
