A RESOLUTION



No.



WHEREAS, the Columbus High School girls golf team recently won the Georgia AAAA

2002 Championship;



WHEREAS, this victory marked the fourth consecutive state title for the Lady

Blue Devils;



WHEREAS, Columbus tallied a team total score of 149 to defeat Dalton by five

shots at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens;



WHEREAS, senior Jennifer Head shot a 75 and freshman Patricia Kim shot a 81 on

the way to the championship;



WHEREAS, junior Grace Kim fired a one-over 74 to win the individual

championship.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Jennifer Head, Grace Kim and Patricia Kim and Coach

John Drew of the Columbus High School Lady Blue Devils Golf Team upon their

victory in the 2002 AAAA Georgia State Championship. Columbus is truly proud

of the Lady Blue Devils and we wish them every success in the future.
