An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changing certain boundaries of a district
located at 2401 Whittlesey Road, from M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District to C-3
(General Commercial) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) District to C-3 (General Commercial) District:
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lot 58,
8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, as more particularly
described as follows:
COMMENCING at an iron pin located at the intersection of the northern
right-of-way line of Whittlesey Road (a 100 foot right-of-way) and the easterly
right-of-way line of Whittlesey Way (a 60 foot right-of-way); thence westerly
along the northern right-of-way line of Whittlesey Road along a curve to the
right an arc distance of 150 feet, said arc having a radius of 5,679.58 feet a
chord bearing of South 88 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds West and a chord
distance of 150 feet to an iron pin, being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North
03 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds West a distance of 314.38 feet to an iron pin
located on the southerly right-of-way line of Old Whittlesey Road (a 60 foot
right-of-way); thence along the southerly right-of-way of Old Whittlesey Road
along a curve to the left an arc distance of 100 feet, said arc having a radius
of 925.26 feet to an iron pin; thence South 03 degrees 58 minutes 30 seconds
East a distance of 315.21 feet to an iron pin located on the northerly
right-of-way of Whittlesey Road; thence easterly along the northerly
right-of-way of Whittlesey Road along a curve to the left an arc distance of
100 feet, said arc having a radius of 5,679.58 feet to an iron pin, said iron
pin being the POINT OF BEGINNING.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:
1. A deceleration lane shall be required as determined by the City Traffic
Engineer.
