A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Brookstone School sophomore Jeanette Crawford recently won the Class A

800 meter competition at the Georgia High School Association State track and

field meet held at Hugh Mills Stadium on May 8, 2004;



WHEREAS, she also placed second in the Class A 1,600 meter run held on May 6,

2004;



WHEREAS, she suffered a torn calf muscle in the 1,600 meter meet before going

on to win her 800 meter race;



WHEREAS, she is also a two-time member of the All-Bi-City cross country team;



WHEREAS, Jeanette's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Brookstone School sophomore Jeanette

Crawford upon her victory in the Class A 800 meter competition and her

second-place finish in the Class A 1,600 meter competition at the Georgia High

School Association state track and field meet held in Albany, Georgia. Columbus

is proud of her accomplishments and we wish her every success in the future.
