WHEREAS, Mr. George L. Lawson, with the CPD/Investigative Services Department,

will retire on August 31, 2005;

WHEREAS, Mr. Lawson has been with the CPD/Investigative Services Department

since February 5, 1975.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful

service of

MR. GEORGE L. LAWSON



who has served with the CPD/Investigative Services Department for 30 years. We

wish for him happiness and contentment in his retirement.
