A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Head Coach Sam Mitchell of the NBA Toronto Raptors will be in

Columbus, August 1-5, 2005 to run a youth basketball camp for the Columbus

community;



WHEREAS, the Sam Mitchell ?Dream and Achieve? Youth Basketball Camp will be

held at the Lumpkin Center, Columbus State University, and sponsored by

Columbus Bank & Trust Company;



WHEREAS, Coach Mitchell grew up in Columbus and credits the Tillis Recreation

Center for establishing his path to success;



WHEREAS, the contributions and accomplishments of Head Coach Sam Mitchell are

worthy of special recognition by this Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to Head Coach Sam Mitchell

of the Toronto Raptors for his commitment to the young people of the Columbus

community and upon the holding of the Dream and Achieve Youth Basketball Camp

at Columbus State University. Columbus is truly proud of Coach Mitchell and we

wish him every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be

forwarded to Head Coach Sam Mitchell and Columbus Bank and Trust Company.

the 2nd day of August, 2005, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
