With much chagrin I submit this letter of resignation from the Mental Health

and Mental Retardation Board in which I presently serve. I have been faithful

in this assignment and I also have been privileged to see and make many

positive outcomes during my tenure on this board. The Mental Health Court is

only one example of positive things I helped bring to this community.



Even though much has been accomplished, much more remains to be done. The

board has expanded and no longer meets in Columbus, Ga, but now meets in

Americus, Ga. The times of the meetings and the location is in conflict with

my schedule. I would not like to remain on a board where I can not make a

contribution by being active. So, after three or four years, I hereby tender

my resignation. It is my desire to serve on another local board for the good

of this community and its citizens.
