WHEREAS, Mr. Lindsey McClendon, Jr., former employee with the Columbus Police

Department, died on April 28, 2003;

WHEREAS, Mr. McClendon retired on November 30, 1995 after serving 19 years with

the Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Lindsey McClendon our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. McClendon was an outstanding employee of the

Columbus Police Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Burton O. Capps, former employee with the Public Services

Department, died on May 3, 2003;

WHEREAS, Mr. Capps retired on January 31, 1998 after serving 17 years with the

Public Services Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Burton O. Capps our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Capps was an outstanding employee of the Public

Services Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

METRA Division.

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. James Arthur Allen our sincere

WHEREAS, Mr. Paulk retired on December 31, 1976 after serving 11 years as

Coroner.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. James T. Paulk our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Paulk was an outstanding Coroner for Columbus,

Georgia and he will be missed by all who knew him.
