WHEREAS, Chattahoochee Valley Community College students Daniyar Zhanbekov and

Jennifer Grace Anthony are two of the CVCC representatives to All-Alabama

Academic Teams for 2001-2002;



WHEREAS, Mr. Zhanbekov was also named to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team

for community and junior colleges;



WHEREAS, he has a 4.0 grade point average, has been accepted at Georgia Tech

where he will major in computer engineering and he was featured in USA Today

for his selection to the All-USA Academic Team;



WHEREAS, Ms. Anthony was also named to the All-Alabama Academic Team and she

has been named to the Dean's List for junior college students;



WHEREAS, she has a 3.68 grade point average and has volunteered for numerous

Columbus organizations including the Human Experience Theater, the Ms. Senior

Pageant, Muscogee County School District and the RiverCenter for the Performing

Arts.



WHEREAS, Ms. Anthony also assists in the telecast of the Columbus

Council meetings on the Government Access Channel.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Chattahoochee Valley Community College students

Daniyar Zhanbekov and Jennifer Grace Anthony upon their selection as the CVCC

representatives to All-Alabama Academic Teams for 2001-2002. Columbus is

justly proud of these outstanding college students and we wish them every

success in the future.
