RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, Cynthia Shoemaker, Columbus Fire and Emergency Medical Services
Captain, died on June 3, 2003;
WHEREAS, Captain Shoemaker, a 17-year veteran of the Fire and EMS Department
was recently promoted to the rank of Captain;
WHEREAS, she served the majority of her career with the EMS Department before
it was consolidated with the Columbus Fire Department;
WHEREAS, Captain Shoemaker is survived by her son, Jeremy.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of
Captain Cynthia Shoemaker. Captain Shoemaker was an outstanding employee of
the newly consolidated Columbus Fire and EMS Department and he will be missed
by all who knew her. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family
of Captain Cynthia Shoemaker.
