SUB: Employees Pension Boards of Trustees





The terms of office of Mr. Harvey Milner, Mr. Alan Rothschild, and

Lt. John Starkey on the Employees Pension Boards of Trustees expired on June

30, 2005. Mr. Milner and Mr. Rothschild are eligible to succeed themselves, but

Lt. Starkey is not eligible to succeed himself.

Mr. Alan Rothschild ? Serves as one of the four Business Community

representatives.

Lt. John Starkey - Serves as the representative of the Public Safety

employees Department under the supervision of the Mayor, in his capacity, as

the Director of Public Safety and other departments of elected and appointed

officials classified as Public Safety employees for pension purposes, shall

each select a nominee who shall be submitted to the Mayor and from among the

nominees will make a final selection by appointment. The Finance Director and

the Clerk of Council are then notified of the name of the individual that has

been appointed. (Section 16A-13(13.02)









City Manager?s Appointment ? Confirmation not required by Council



Mr. Harvey Milner ? Serves as the representative of the other employees,

those non-public safety City employees? Departments under the supervision of

the City Manager and other departments of elected and appointed officials,

which are classified as non-public safety departments for pension purposes,

shall each select a nominee who shall be submitted to the City Manager, and

from among the nominees of these departments, the City Manager will make a

final selection by appointment. The Finance Director and the Clerk of Council

are then notified of the name of the individual appointed. (Section

16A-13(13.02)



All appointments to these boards are made pursuant to the provision of

Section 16A-13.01 and 13.02 of the Columbus Code, a copy of which is attached.



Also, attached for your information, is a list of the current members of

the board, along with a copy of our data sheet on the board.
