WHEREAS, Mr. Willie H. Griffis, Jr., with the CPD/Investigative Services

Department, will retire on August 31, 2005;

WHEREAS, Mr. Griffis has been with the CPD/Investigative Services Department

since March 1, 1974.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful

service of

MR. WILLIE H. GRIFFIS, JR.



who has served with the CPD/Investigative Services Department for 31 years. We

wish for him happiness and contentment in his retirement.
