I. CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY ON PARCEL 37 - ST. MARY'S ROAD WIDENING PROJECT:
Authorization is requested for the acquisition of Parcel 37, 0.031 acres of
land of right-of-way for County Road and/or Municipal Street Purpose for the
St. Mary's Road Widening Project and to authorize the filing of a Declaration
of Taking for acquisition of said land under the authority of the official
code of Georgia annotated, Section 32-2-1. An agenda report and resolution are
attached.
II. GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY- SMALL GRANT APPLICATION:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved
accept a grant in the amount of $15,000 from the Governor's Office of Highway
Safety for the Columbus Police Department to enhance traffic enforcement
efforts. An agenda report and resolution are attached.
III. GEORGIA SCENIC BYWAY PROGRAM:
Authorization is requested for the City and Keep Columbus Beautiful staff to
submit an application to the Georgia Department of Transportation to designate
I-185 from Williams Road to the County Line as Georgia Scenic Byway. An agenda
report and resolution are attached.
IV. BRIGHT FROM THE START SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved
accept approximately $575,000 in grants funds form the Georgia Department of
Early Childcare Learning Bright From the Start Program (formally know as Office
of Schools Readiness) For snack provided for After School and Summer Lunch
participants. An agenda report and resolution are attached.

V. STREET ACCEPTANCE - THAT PORTION OF WATERHILL DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION FIVE,
WATERSTONE:
Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Waterhill
Drive located in Section Five of Waterstone. The Department of Engineering has
inspected this street and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and
resolution are attached.

Scope of RFP
Columbus Consolidated Government is soliciting proposals for a Development Plan
for the financing, construction and operation of a 120 room (minimum) Hotel.
There are two proposed sites for the Hotel, both are located adjacent to the
Columbus Convention and Trade Center located at 801 Front Avenue. The selected
firm will provide the strategy for the development of the Hotel. The proposal
should also provide strategy for consideration, which provides opportunities
for expanding the Hotel in the future. Examples of the development strategies
are financing, construction and operation of the facility.
