A RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2004, while at an Adult Hockey game, Mr. Charles
Edward Ensign passed out while sitting on the bench;
WHEREAS, Mr. Joe Catrone, with Parks and Recreation Department, who was working
as security personnel at the Civic Center, told Ms. Creesey Milner, with the
Civic Center, to go get the A.E.D. from the conference room while he called 911;
WHEREAS, when Mr. Catrone had started CPR on Mr. Ensign, Mr. Mike Harper, who
was visiting from Connecticut, came from out of the stands to help Mr. Catrone
do CPR until the EMS arrived to take over;
WHEREAS, Mr. Joe Catrone, Ms. Creesey Milner and Mr. Mike Harper, although
unable to save the victim in this case, deserve special recognition by this
Council for their valiant efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend Mr. Joe Catrone, Ms. Creesey Milner and Mr. Mike Harper for
their valiant efforts in attempting to save the life of Mr. Charles Edward
Ensign at an Adult Hockey game. Their bravery and training is appreciated by
all residents of the Columbus community. Let a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Mr. Joe Catrone, Ms. Creesey Milner and Mr. Mike Harper.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
16th day of March, 2004, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
