A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PASS-THROUGH GRANT FROM THE

GOVERNOR?S EMERGENCY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,000 TO ASSIST THE SALLY LITTLE

LEAGUE OF COLUMBUS WITH THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND AMEND THE

MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY A LIKE AMOUNT.



WHEREAS, Columbus, as the local government agency, is the conduit for certain

grants appropriated by the Governor?s Office for community service agencies;

and,



WHEREAS, upon acceptance of the grant agreement and execution of contract,

Columbus Consolidated Government will receive funds and then process payment to

the Sally Little League.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



1. That the grant agreement, subsequent contracts and funds be processed by

Columbus for the Sally Little League as appropriated by the Governor?s Office.



2. That the Mayor, City Manager and other officials of Columbus are authorized

to take such actions as required to satisfy the grant conditions.







INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the Council of Colum-bus, Georgia, held on

the ______th day of ___________________, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by

the affirmative vote of __________ members of said Council.
