NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE NATIONAL CRIMINAL HISTORY
IMPLEMENTATION GRANT FROM THE GEORGIA BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION AND AMEND THE
MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,829.
WHEREAS, funds have been made available from the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation for implementing a new network to protect electronic fingerprint
transmissions to the state; and,
WHEREAS, a new generation device is available which must replace the electronic
fingerprint device now used Muscogee County Sheriff?s Department; and,
WHEREAS, a grant is available which will reimburse the purchase and training
for the equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to accept the
grant from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in the amount of $23,829 for
the fingerprint transmissions.
2. That the Multi-Governmental Fund will be amended for the amount of the
grant.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held on
the Day of , 2005; and adopted at said meeting
by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
