MERITORIOUS RESOLUTIONS:



Have the staff to prepare a resolution honoring Coach Bobby Howard, of

Columbus High School and Coach Ron Nelson, Central, Phenix City, Coaches of the

Year, as well as the Female Athlete of the Year, Kadajah Talley Columbus High

and Male of the Year, Dantrelle Savage, Jordan High and the Columbus-Ledger

Enquirer Newspaper. (Request of Councilor Davis)

TO THE CITY MANAGER:



TREE FOR FEE PROGRAM:



Have the staff to look at adding some kind of delinquent payment fee to be

assessed in this program. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)



For these special tree pickups, have the staff to look at billing it

through the water bills as we do with the garbage fees. (Request of Mayor Pro

Tem Rodgers)



If we are going to look at doing this program similar to what we do with

the collection of garbage fees, let?s have the staff to look at implementing

the same type of reduced fees for individuals on fixed incomes, i.e. senior

citizens and etc. Use the same percentage in reducing the costs for those

people who have the trees picked up. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

MCKEE ROAD FIRE STATION:



Whenever the staff prepare for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the McKee

Road Fire Station, let?s make sure we invite Mr. Bill Heard. (Request of

Councilor McDaniel)



Also, invite those individuals in the Upatoi area that were instrumental

in

bringing forth the concept of a fire station out in this area. (Request of

Councilor Allen)

METRA BUS SERVICE:



Have the staff to do some research and determine the feasibility of

providing Metra bus service for evening hours. (Request of Councilor Woodson)



Have the staff to look at the possibility of providing a shuttle service

from the Parking Garage at the River Center to the Government Center from 9:00

a.m. ? 12:00 noon. (Request CouncilorAllen)

Have the staff to provide an update on the White Water Rafting.
