A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Dr. Tina Cross, a teacher at Carver High School for the last ten

years, was one of 13 Americans who recently received the Spirit of Service

Award in Washington, D.C. at the National Conference on Volunteering and

Service;



WHEREAS, Dr. Cross was selected because of her involvement in the Learn

and Serve Program at Carver High School as well as for her individual efforts

in the Columbus community;



WHEREAS, Dr. Cross has taught in the Muscogee County School District for 14

years and has led Carver High School as one of two National Service Learning

Leader Schools in Georgia;



WHEREAS, Dr. Cross? accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Dr. Tina Cross, teacher at Carver High School, upon

her receipt of the Spirit of Service Award in Washington, D.C. at the National

Conference on Volunteering and Service. Let a copy of this resolution be

forwarded to Dr. Tina Cross.
