The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at

2:00PM with, Assessors Lawton Grantham, Richard Stallings and Ann Grantham

present. Also present was Chief Appraiser Martin J. Land Chairman Beatrice

Breaux and Assessor William Braxton were absent.



Assessor Ann Grantham made a motion to approve Minutes #27-02, Assessor

Richard Stallings second the motion, motion carried unanimously.



The Board approved assessment corrections for real estate.



The Board also approved applications for conservation use assessments for 2002

(Parcel ID 175 001 003, 176 001 001, 178 003 037, 178 003 039, 178 003 018 and

018A).



The Board reviewed a letter submitted by Kirbo & Kendrick regarding

Chattahoochee Valley Church of Christ, Inc. The Board told Chief Appraiser

Martin Land to respond to the letter by notifying them that a valid appeal was

not filed within the 30 days from the date of the Official Tax Notice also the

church did not request tax exempt status for the year of 2001 during the

calendar year of 2001 by submitting proof of qualifications for tax exempt

status.



Mrs.. Commander had an appointment with the Board of Tax Assessors, but did not

appear (Personal Property Account #B1358101).
