An Ordinance providing a moratorium of forty-five (45) days on applications for

wireless communication facilities and for other purposes.





THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION 1.



There is hereby enacted a 45 day moratorium on filing any new

application for a wireless communication facility. The moratorium will be in

effect from March 1, 2005 until April 15, 2005.



SECTION 2.



The purpose of this moratorium is to allow an amendment to the Uniform

Development Ordinance so that the current regulation concerning the distance of

wireless communication facilities from residential structures will be continued.



SECTION 3.



All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance

are hereby repealed.
