An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 6800 Macon Road, from R-1A (Low Density Residential) District to M-1

(Light Manufacturing) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from R-1A (Low Density

Residential) District to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District:



All that tract or parcel of land lying and being Part of Land Lots 59 & 60, 9th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and being more particu1arly

described as follows:



Commence at an iron stake marking the intersection of the westerly line of

Schatulga Road and the northerly line of Transport Boulevard; thence North 00

degrees 37 minutes 47 seconds East, along the westerly line of Schatulga Road,

200.0 feet to an iron stake at the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 66 degrees

38 minutes 46 seconds West, 432.72 feet to an iron stake; thence North 67

degrees 02 minutes 15 seconds West, 358.63 feet to an iron stake; thence North

51 degrees 04 minutes 48 seconds West, 350.0 feet to an iron stake; thence

North 60 degrees 01 minute 39 seconds East, 437.10 feet to an iron stake;

thence North 09 degrees 04 minutes 55 seconds East, 202.66 feet to an iron

stake; thence North 07 degrees 47 minutes 00 seconds West, 1.236.0 feet to an

(said arc having a radius of 9887.77 feet and being subtended by a 112.20 foot

chord bearing North 55 degrees 14 minutes 51 seconds East) an arc distance of

112.20 feet to an iron stake; thence South 07 degrees 47 minutes 00 seconds

East, 2054.69 feet to an iron stake; thence South 67 degrees 39 minutes 49

seconds East, 417.94 feet to an iron stake on the westerly line of Schatulga

line of Schatulga Road, 43.79 feet to an iron stake at the point of beginning;

containing 8.501 acres.

39 seconds West, 437.10 feet to an iron stake at the point of beginning;

containing 23.615 acres.



The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:



1. All lighting shall be directed internally using deflectors.

2. No external trash dumpsters / compactors shall be located along the property

lines bordered by residential zoning districts.
