A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, a fire recently damaged the home of David and Carmen Arrington in
Midland;
WHEREAS, volunteers from the Columbus area rallied to support the Arringtons
and provide needed services to their family;
WHEREAS, Burger King/Schuster Enterprises, McDonalds, Golden Donuts, Bill Heard
Chevrolet, Holiday Inn North, Wade Cleaners and the Division of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms all provided emergency assistance to the Arrington family;
WHEREAS, these generous acts are worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to Donna Evans of Burger
King/Schuster Enterprises, Betty Johnson of McDonalds, Don Baker of Golden
Donuts, Chris Jessie and Kris Hart of Bill Heard Chevrolet, Jerry Mazurkiewicz
and Michele Spivey of Holiday Inn North, George Wade, Tripp Wade, George
Wilkinson and Bruce Wilkinson of Wade Cleaners and Brad Donnelly of the
Division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for their assistance to the family of
David and Carmen Arrington. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
above organizations.
