A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE COLUMBUS DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES REVISED STRATEGIC PLAN DATED FEBRUARY 2004.



WHEREAS, the Fire and Emergency Medical Services is dedicated to the

protection of life, property, and the environment by providing professional and

courteous services of exceptional quality in Fire Prevention, Fire Safety

Education, Fire Suppression, Advanced Life Support, Hazardous Material

Response, Emergency Management, Fire/Arson Investigation, and Rescue at an

acceptable cost to the community; and,



WHEREAS, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services is a

performance driven and results oriented department that focuses on customer

service, continuous improvement, and the safety and welfare of the citizens and

employees.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:



That the Council hereby adopts a resolution showing full support of the

Columbus Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services Revised Strategic

Plan dated February 2004.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the

_____day of ___________, 2004 and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
