An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at the southwest corner of Forrest Road and Alta Vista Drive, from R-1A
(Low Density Residential) District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from R-1A (Low Density
Residential) District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District:
All that lot, tract or parcel of land being 1.098 acres, more or less, situate,
lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee, shown as LOT 1 on
a survey prepared by William P. Morkes, Registered Land Surveyor, dated May 15,
1997 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia in Plat Book 135, Folio 52. Said plat or survey is
incorporated herein by reference thereto.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:
1. Joint-use driveways shall be required.
2. Each lot shall require a private property turn-around so that traffic can
exit forward onto Forrest Road.
