An ordinance amending Section 4-11 of the Columbus Code so as to authorize the

City Manager to approve the operation of carnivals, circuses or similar shows

on property other than the City fairgrounds, subject to compliance with all

applicable business license regulations and zoning regulations, including

special exception use permits when required, by all applicants for such events.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:





Section 4-11 of the Columbus Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and a

new Section 4-11 is hereby substituted to read as follows:



"The City Manager is authorized to approve the operation of carnivals,

circuses or similar shows on property other than the City fairgrounds, subject

to compliance with all applicable business license regulations and zoning

regulations, including special exception use permits when required, by all

applicants for such events."
