WHEREAS, the Columbus Northern Little League 11-12 Year-old Softball All-Stars

recently won the 2004 District 8 Championship;



WHEREAS, the Northern Little League 11-12 Softball All-Stars won the District 8

Tournament with a record of 5-1 and defeated American 12-9, defeated Sally

17-1, defeated Harris County 4-2, and defeated Pioneer twice by scores of 13-3

and 2-1;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the following Columbus Northern Little

League 11-12 Year-old Softball All-Stars upon their victory in the 2004

District 8 Championship: Manager Rodney Love and Coaches Keith Pierce, Roger

Loney, and Ken McTaggart, Team Mom Monica Pierce, and Players Elizabeth

Copeland, Kristen Fleming, Daniella Glover, Hillary Hare, Roni Lewis, Elizabeth

Loncher, Rachel Loney, Rebecca Loney, Haley Love, Kristen McTaggart, and

Victoria Pierce. Columbus is truly proud of this team?s hard work and

dedication and we wish them every success in the future.

3rd day of August 2004, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

ten members of Council.
