A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT TO THE COUNCIL OF
JUVENILE COURT JUDGES TO THE COLUMBUS/MUSCOGEE COUNTY JUVENILE COURT TO FUND
THE PURCHASE OF SERVICES FOR JUVENILE OFFENDERS PROGRAM AND AMEND THE
MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL FUND BY A LIKE AMOUNT.
WHEREAS, funds have been made available from the Office of the Council
of Juvenile Court Judges, for the purpose of improving the juvenile justice
system and providing services for juvenile offenders; and,
WHEREAS, Columbus is eligible for $15,000; and,
WHEREAS, the grant period runs from October 1, 2003 to September 30,
2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit and if approved accept a
grant from the Council of Juvenile Court Judges of Georgia for $15,000 to fund
the Columbus/Muscogee County Juvenile Court Purchase of services for Juvenile
Offenders Program and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by a like amount.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
____day of _________ 2003 and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
of ____ members of said Council.
