A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Glenwood Baseball Team recently won the AISA AAA state

championship;



WHEREAS, the Gators won the championship with a 4-0 shutout against Faith

Academy and finished the season with a 35-5 record;



WHEREAS, the Gators also won the state championship in 1993;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of our neighboring athletes at Glenwood High

School are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the Glenwood High School Gators

baseball players Kyle Hargraves, Ben Gatlin, Nathan Kilcrease, Heath Owens,

Kyle Tidwell, Will Stillwell, Brett Worthington, Derek Webster, Eric Skinner,

Jared Carpenter, Clay Robinson, Brock Hall, Alex Acuff, Chase Dixon, Marcus

Luton, Kyle McCaleb, Drew Kittrell, Chris Minney, Bradley Cross, Chris McBride,

and Tyler Causey, Head Coach Tim Fanning and Assistant Coach Jeff Davis upon

their 2005 AISA Class AAA State Championship. Columbus is justly proud of this

team?s hard work and dedication and we wish them every success in the future.

Let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the above-named participants.
