An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at the southeast corner of Moon Road and Stone Mill Drive, from R-2
(Low Density Residential) District to A-O (Apartment-Office) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from R-2 (Low Density
Residential) District to A-O (Apartment-Office) District:
To arrive at the point of beginning, commence at the iron pin on the southern
side of Stone Mill Drive formed by the intersection of the southerly side of
Stone Mill Drive and the easterly side of Moon Road and from said point running
thence South 86 degrees 09 minutes 46 seconds East a distance of 355.40 feet to
an iron pin; running thence South 04 degrees 55 minutes 46 seconds West a
distance of 72.95 feet to an iron pin; running thence South 43 degrees 58
minutes 49 seconds East a distance of 195.81 feet to an iron pin; running
thence South 30 degrees 25 minutes 09 seconds East a distance of 95.58 feet to
an iron pin; running thence South 42 degrees 08 minutes 14 seconds East a
distance of 148.54 feet to an iron pin; running thence South 82 degrees 50
minutes 15 seconds East a distance of 47.83 feet to an iron pin; running thence
South 00 degrees 08 minutes 22 seconds East a distance of 119.22 feet to an
iron pin; running thence North 89 degrees 49 minutes 29 seconds West a distance
of 746.92 feet to an iron pin; running thence North 03 degrees 47 minutes 18
seconds East a distance of 525.86 feet to an iron pin; running thence North 48
degrees 48 minutes 46 seconds East a distance of 42.41 feet to an iron pin,
which is the point of beginning.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:
1. All lighting shall be directed internally using deflectors.
2. A deceleration lane shall be required as determined by the City Traffic
Engineer.
3. Only one driveway shall be permitted on Moon Road.
